Masters Programme in International Health
The Department of International Health was established in 1996 at the Institute of Public Health, Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Copenhagen. To meet the increasing need for capacity building and strengthening of the resource base in international health, both in Denmark and in Danida programme countries, the Department of International Health offers a Masters Programme in International Health (MIH).
International Health focuses on poverty-related health problems and health systems in low and middle income societies.
Thesis
The MIH degree is awarded by the Faculty of Health Sciences to those who pass the course examination and the final examination. The assessment include a final oral examination based primarily on the Thesis submitted and including supplementary questions on a major health related problem.
The Danida Health Sector Programme Support, Ghana is supporting 1-2 candidates yearly.
